Static sites are calm by design. There is less to configure, less to break, and less to explain to future me when I come back after a week away.

For a personal site, that matters. I do not need a system that performs complexity. I need one that makes it easy to present work, add writing, and keep the whole thing maintainable.

What I like most is that the shape stays visible. A homepage, a blog index, and a set of articles are enough for a site that wants to feel thoughtful rather than busy.

A quieter default

I want the page to feel like a room, not a dashboard.

  • simple navigation
  • readable text
  • a warm surface
  • enough atmosphere to feel personal

That makes it easier to write, and easier to keep using the site over time.
